I'm a wannabe singer/songwriter from Hertfordshire UK. I attend several open mic's nearby usually doing covers and occasionally my own stuff.
As I get better and more comfortable on stage I will swap out the covers for my own stuff, then do them exclusively.
I consider myself to be a modern player. Meaning the equipment I use is newer in design and not harking back to the early days.
That does not mean I skimp on quality.
my main electric guitar is a Fender Stratocaster. The amp is a 50 watt BOSS Katana. I also have a selection of pedals , but Im not really into them.
I have the ubiquitous Apple Mac Book Pro with the usual array of software. Im learning Garageband and will upgrade to Logic Pro soon.

I attend the Redbourn Folk Club on Wednesday nights whenever I can.
except the first Wednesday of the month when I attend The Farmers Boy, London Road, St Albans for Pete Suttons Open Mic. It starts at 9pm.
Most Sundays I can be found at the Horn Pub in St Albans where Bill runs the Blue Angel Acoustic Cafe open mic from 3pm to 6pm.
There are literally hundreds of open mics within my reach. I intend to try them all.
